Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm almond milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add sugar, melted vegan butter, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread vegan butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar mix, and cut into strips.
- Twist the strips into knots and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, glaze the knots with a mix of powdered sugar and almond milk after baking.
- These knots can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
