Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
- Fill cupcake liners with batter and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack before frosting.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use vanilla bean paste instead of extract.
- Make sure not to overmix the batter for fluffy cupcakes.
