- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour to form a soft dough. Knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the cream cheese frosting, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
Notes
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
