- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup artichoke hearts, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup baking soda (for boiling)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, mix spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, mozzarella, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide dough and roll into strips, filling with the spinach and artichoke mixture.
- Shape into pretzels and boil in a baking soda solution for 30 seconds.
- Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle coarse salt on top before baking.
- These pretzels can be served warm with marinara or dipping sauce.
