Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara with Turkey Bacon: An Easy Indulgent Twist

A delicious recipe for Spaghetti Carbonara made with turkey bacon for a lighter twist.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and while it’s still hot, add it to the skillet with turkey bacon and garlic.
  5. Quickly pour the egg mixture over the pasta, tossing to combine, allowing the heat to cook the eggs slightly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a creamier sauce, add a splash of reserved pasta cooking water.
  • Don’t overcook the eggs; they should be creamy, not scrambled.
