- 10 cups peeled, cored, and quartered apples
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Place the apples in the slow cooker.
- Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and lemon juice.
- Stir to combine and cover the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 10 hours, stirring occasionally.
- After cooking, use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Cook on high for an additional hour to thicken.
- Transfer to jars and let cool.

- For a smoother texture, blend the apple butter longer.
