Ingredients

  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 100 grams butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams marzipan
  • 100 grams dried fruit mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and mixed spice, then fold in the dried fruits.
  5. Cut the marzipan into small pieces and fold into the mixture.
  6. Divide the mixture into muffin cases, filling them about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • For extra decoration, top with a thin layer of marzipan and glaze.
