Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups diced chicken ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Gradually add milk and cook until thickened.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the chicken ham and half of the cheese.
  5. Pour half of the white sauce over the layers and repeat.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some herbs on top before baking.
