- 4 pieces chicken thighs
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, brown chicken thighs on both sides and remove.
- Add rice to the skillet and toast for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour in chicken broth and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender.
- Crush cooked turkey bacon and sprinkle over the dish before serving.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Can substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option.
