Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, brown chicken thighs on both sides and remove.
  3. Add rice to the skillet and toast for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender.
  6. Crush cooked turkey bacon and sprinkle over the dish before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option.
