Ingredients

- 2 slices rye bread
- 3 ounces turkey bacon
- 3 ounces chicken ham
- 1/4 cup sauerkraut
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons thousand island dressing
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Start by cooking the turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, toast the rye bread on one side until golden brown.
- On the untoasted side of one slice, layer the turkey bacon, chicken ham, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
- Spread thousand island dressing on the other slice of bread, then place it on top, dressing side down.
- Butter the outside of the sandwich and cook in the skillet over medium heat until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, flipping once.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a bit of dill relish.
- Serve with a side of pickles for a classic touch.
