- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar; let it sit until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the flour mixture; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Gently fold in the raspberries into the risen dough.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let the dough rise in the pan for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This brioche tastes best when served fresh out of the oven.
- You can use frozen raspberries if fresh ones are unavailable.
