Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the beef to a slow cooker. Add beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
  5. Remove the beef from the slow cooker, shred it with two forks, and return it to the sauce to soak up the flavors.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns and fill them with the pulled beef.
  7. Serve with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
