Pistachio Tiramisu: An Indulgent Twist on a Classic Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachios, shelled and chopped
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 20 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, and beat until fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, dip ladyfinger cookies into the cooled espresso and layer at the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Sprinkle half of the chopped pistachios over the mascarpone layer.
  5. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  6. Top with cocoa powder and the rest of the pistachios.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • You can substitute crushed nuts for garnishing if desired.
