- 8 ounces pasta of your choice
- 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
- Add onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook according to package instructions.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, add peas and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the crumbled turkey bacon and Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit turkey bacon and use vegetable broth.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for extra flavor.
