- 1 whole chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, basting with more BBQ sauce halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.

- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice rub overnight.
