- 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 12-18 hours.
- Once risen, preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Carefully place the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball.
- Transfer the dough to the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs or spices to the dough.
- Using a hotter oven yields a crustier bread.
