Ingredients

- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 16 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, then start layering them at the bottom of individual cups.
- Add a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers.
- Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with the mascarpone layer.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder just before serving.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur.
- These can be made a day in advance for convenience.
