- 8 ounces fettuccine
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add red pepper flakes and shrimp; cook until shrimp turns pink.
- Stir in cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined.
- Toss in the cooked pasta and fresh basil; mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- For a little extra flavor, add lemon juice before serving.
- You can substitute shrimp with chicken if preferred.
