- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
- In the bacon fat, cook ground beef until browned.
- Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions.
- Stir in ricotta cheese and half the mozzarella until melted.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Garnish with fresh basil for added flavor.
