Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and melt the butter. Add the onions and sauté until they are translucent.
  2. Add the broccoli, vegetable broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Close the lid and set to high pressure for 5 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, perform a quick release of the pressure. Stir in the milk and flour until smooth.
  4. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, you can blend half of the mixture before adding the cheese.
