Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in the bread machine. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Select the dough setting and let the machine do the work.
  3. Once the dough is ready, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding the baking soda.
  5. Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into bites.
  6. Boil each piece in the baking soda water for about 30 seconds before transferring to a baking sheet.
  7. Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
