- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup protein powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and maple syrup.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the cooked sausage crumbles.
- Divide the batter evenly among the mini muffin tins.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- You can also freeze these muffins for up to 2 months.
