Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add honey or maple syrup, applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas, and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients: baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and whole wheat flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool before slicing.
