- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheeses until melted.
- Add the cooked macaroni, turkey bacon, and chicken ham to the cheese sauce; mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
- Feel free to mix in vegetables, like broccoli or spinach, for added nutrition.
