Easy Homemade Mac and Cheese with Turkey Bacon and Chicken Ham

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheeses until melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, turkey bacon, and chicken ham to the cheese sauce; mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350°F.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some cayenne pepper to the cheese sauce.
