- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook until soft.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the sour cream and mix until smooth, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- In another pot, cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and stir into the beef mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, let the stroganoff sit for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve with a sprinkle of parsley for garnish.
