- 4 cups apple cider
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup spiced rum
- 1 orange, sliced
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine apple cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, star anise, and orange slices.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Stir in the spiced rum and brown sugar if using, and heat until warm.
- Strain out spices and serve hot in mugs.
