- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Add baking soda and salt, then mix well.
- Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Mix in the flour, just until the flour disappears.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top, then add the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
- Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Make sure bananas are very ripe for the best sweetness.
