- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Add in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix.
- Add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the banana batter into a loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture, and then add the remaining batter on top, finishing with the remaining cinnamon mixture.
- Use a knife to swirl the batter.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- This recipe can be made with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
- You can add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
