- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, scoop the dough and roll into balls.
- Roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, do not overbake.
- Allow the cookies to fully cool before storing.
