- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté onion, carrots, and celery until tender.
- Add chicken broth and milk to the pot and bring to a simmer.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in melted butter until a dough forms.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth and cover, cooking for 15 minutes.
- Stir in shredded chicken and heat through before serving.
Notes
- This dish is even better the next day as the flavors meld.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs for extra flavor.
