- 1 pound chicken thighs
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Cook turkey bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add chicken and cook until browned.
- Add carrots, celery, and onion and sauté until softened.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk to create the dumpling dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling broth and cover. Cook for about 15 minutes.
- Serve warm with crumbled turkey bacon on top.
