- 1 pound chicken thighs
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup carrots, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine chicken, broth, carrots, celery, and onion. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter to form a dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
- Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Serve hot.
