- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups sliced potatoes
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic powder over medium heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half the potato mixture in a greased casserole dish, then add the cooked beef, and top with the remaining potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1 hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.

- Let the casserole sit for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
