Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon loose black tea or 1 tea bag
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons sugar or sweetener to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Boil water in a saucepan.
- Add the tea and spices, then let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a cup, discarding the tea leaves and spices.
- Heat the milk in another saucepan until steaming, but not boiling.
- Froth the milk (if desired) and pour it over the tea.
- Add sugar to taste and stir well.

- For a creamier version, use whole milk or a non-dairy alternative.
