Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and carefully remove the core from the cabbage. Submerge the whole head of cabbage in boiling water for about 5 minutes, or until leaves are pliable.
- While the cabbage is boiling, heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, ground turkey, diced chicken ham, cooked turkey bacon mixture, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Remove the cabbage from the water and carefully peel off the leaves. Take one leaf and spoon a heaping tablespoon of the filling onto the leaf, fold in the sides, and roll up. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.
- Place the rolls seam side down in a baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over the rolls.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve hot.
