- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder; gradually stir into the butter mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is shiny and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra rich brownies, add chopped nuts or more chocolate chips.
- Letting them cool completely enhances the chewy texture.
