- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup nut butter
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the rolled oats, nut butter, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then cut into bars.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can mix in nuts or dried fruits.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
