Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the pumpkin and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Pour into greased cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let cool before frosting.
