- 6 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well.
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a baking sheet.
- Pour the apple mixture onto the crust.
- Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle some vanilla extract into the apple mixture.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.
